Japan has experienced a pronounced postponement and decline in marriage in recent decades, which has been a major driver of low fertility. Difficulties in finding partners who meet expectations have been proposed as one explanation. This talk will present these demographic changes and shed light on the role of mate preferences in shaping these trends.
We will also have some time to ask anyone who is attending the PAA meetings in St. Louis next week to report on what they found interesting, novel, and/or significant!
To produce a guest list for the building security staff, please register here if you plan to attend this meeting.
As always, please feel free to invite colleagues, students and friends to join us, and encourage any interested in future events to register at the WDS website.
